Orange has cut the cost of the iPhone 3GS, in what appears to be a clearout of its pay as you go handset stocks and a Mother’s Day sale.
As part of the limited period promotion, the 8GB edition of the 3GS is now available for £299 – down from £399 previously – and comes with a free £20 Marks & Sparks voucher and a £10 Orange top-up.
It’s unlikely that there’s anyone that doesn’t know what the 3GS offers this late in the day. But in case you don’t, its features take in a three-megapixel camera with VGA video recording, a 3.5-inch widescreen display and 8GB of internal storage.
It also offers a library of thousands of free and paid-for apps and games at the App Store, A-GPS support and a media player, as well as a tethering function that allows you to use your handset as a de facto mobile broadband dongle to get online with other Wi-Fi enabled devices.
