Sony’s upcoming mid-range and entry-level smarties, the Xperia P and Xperia U, will be available soon on O2, the carrier has confirmed.
O2 has updated its 'Coming Soon' page to reveal plans to offer the handsets on contract when they land in Blighty next month.
The Xperia P features a four-inch Reality Display with Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA Engine and WhiteMagic technologies and a 1GHz dual core processor to keep things ticking over smoothly.
Also on board is an eight-megapixel snapper that shoots videos in full HD and 16GB of internal storage.
The Xperia U, meanwhile, is a more entry-level option, sporting a 3.5-inch display, a 1GHz dual core processor and a five-megapixel autofocus camera with 16x digital zoom and LED flash.
Alas, both phones ship with the ageing Android Gingerbread out of the box. However, Sony has promised an update to the latest Ice Cream Sandwich will be rolled out in the second quarter.
Contract prices have yet to be revealed, but we expect these to be announced in the weeks to come.
The duo will be joined by the Xperia S - Sony’s first flagship Android kit - which goes on sale later this month.
