HTC Sensation owners on Three could be waiting a while for a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS), it has emerged.
O2 and Orange pushed out Android 4.0 (A.K.A ICS) as over the air platform bumps to the original Sensation handset earlier this month.
However, if you’re on Three you’re not quite so lucky. Responding to an enquiry on Twitter, the carrier admitted testing of the new iteration of Android is ongoing and that it is “unable to confirm a timescale at the moment”.
The delay, which will be all too familiar to UK Fandroids irrespective of their network, is likely to be caused in part by the need to ensure that Three’s proprietary services work with the latest version of the OS.
Three pushed out ICS to the Sensation XE – the Beats by Dre-branded, 4.8-inch screen-toting big brother to the Sensation – back in late March.
