Motorola has officially announced the RAZR MAXX will be launching in the UK in May.
Not to be confused with the classic clamshell handset from early 2000's, the RAZR MAXX is a slick candy bar kit just like its older brother, the new RAZR, except it boasts considerably longer battery life.
Moto claims the Maxx offers an impressive 17.6 hours of talk time on a full charge, compared to the RAZR’s 9.1 hours of longevity. And although that adds a bit more bulk to the device, it still comes in at a respectably svelte 9mm and weighs a none-too-inconveniencing 145g.
Aside from that the handset is virtually identical to its predecessor and features the same 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, a 1.2GHz dual core processor with 1GB of RAM, an eight-megapixel camera and 16GB of on board memory.
Alas, it runs on yesterday’s jam, Android Gingerbread, at launch. However, an upgrade to the latest, tastiest Ice Cream Sandwich is expected to follow soon.
