A device render and manual, purportedly belonging to the Samsung Galaxy S3, have been leaked online ahead of the phone’s official unveiling next month.
The illustration depicts a handset sporting rounder edges than the Galaxy S2, a home button and two touch-sensitive buttons that look like 'menu' and 'back'. It’s accompanied by a handful of specs the handset reportedly packs, including a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED MIPI (C-Type) display, an eight-megapixel camera and a 1.5GHz Quad Core processor.
Some of these sound a bit suspect, however, given nearly all rumours of late claimed the S3 boasts a 4.7-inch display and a 1.4GHz processor.
Granted the differences are not huge. It’s quite possible the manual is old and the processor is either over or under-clocked. Even so, we still recommend taking this latest rumour with a healthy serving of salt.
Leaks of the year’s most eagerly awaited Android phone have been pouring in left and right ever since the South Korean company revealed it will be hosting a press event on May 3rd to announce “the next Galaxy” device, widely touted to be the mega-selling Galaxy S2 follow-up.
Whatever the case, we won’t have to wait too much longer to find out for sure.
