The Samsung Galaxy S3 will pack in a whopping 4.8-inches of screen real estate, fresh images of the soon-to-land blower reveal.
Sourced by Know Your Mobile, which has an unnamed insider to thank for the leak, the photo handily positions the S3 next to a slide rule – clearing confirming it will feature an extra 0.5-inches-worth of display compared with the S2.
Alas, it’s very hard to make out much else about the handset. But, like most phones running the latest Ice Cream Sandwich version of Android, Samsung appears to have dispensed with a physical home button in favour of touchscreen pressers.
Set to debut at a press event in London on May 3rd, the successor to the S2 is also rumoured to feature a 12-megapixel camera, a quad-core Exynos processor and a waterproof coating for its innards.
According to industry analysts, the S3, which was originally expected to tip up back in February, has already amassed pre-sales of ten million units.
By way of comparison, Samsung’s biggest-selling phone ever, the S2, has racked up sales of 20 million in 15 months.
