Samsung is reportedly readying its own cloud service, expected to launch alongside the as-yet-unannounced Galaxy S3.
sCloud, as it’s imaginatively called, is set to take on Apple’s iCloud, which offers users the facility to automatically synchronise multiple devices and comes with 5GB of free storage.
News of Sammy’s effort comes as the tech world anxiously observes a countdown site set-up by the phone-maker teasing an imminent announcement, set to take place at 12pm UK time today.
Weeks of hype and rumours suggest this is almost assuredly related to the successor to the best-selling Galaxy S2. Although there’s a chance the countdown might be for sCloud only, with the handset itself announced on May 3rd in London.
Whatever the case, it won’t be much long before we find out for sure. So stay tuned.
