HTC has showcased a new budget-priced Android phone, in so doing reviving the dormant ‘Desire’ brand.
Available now, the HTC Desire C teams the look and feel of the One range of phones with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and Beats by Dre audio technology.
It’s also rocking a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, a five-megapixel snapper, advanced social networking smarts. A 600MHz single-core processor and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera are present and correct, too.
And as with the One line of smarties, to augment the Desire C’s 4GB of internal storage, buyers get 25GB of online space on Dropbox for storing files, music and videos remotely.
T-Mobile has confirmed it will be offering the Desire C free on contracts from £15.50 per month from June.
If you fancy it on pay as you go, you’re looking at an upfront charge of £169.99.
