HTC One X and S price cut on Vodafone ahead of Galaxy S3 launch

Vodafone has slashed the monthly contract prices for the HTC One X and the One S, as it gears up for the impending release of the Samsung Galaxy S3.

The One X is now available starting at £36 a month – down from £41 monthly – a saving of £120 over the two-year contract term. In return you get a free handset, 600 minutes and unlimited texts, plus 1GB of data.

The One S, meanwhile, is free for £31 a month – a similar reduction from £36 monthly previously. This gets takers 300 minutes, unlimited texts and 500MB data.

The offer ends on May 31st, so if you’re considering picking up either handset, do it quick.

Highlights of the One X, HTC’s flagship kit of 2012, include a 4.7-inch LCD IPS display, a 1.5GHz ‘4-Plus-1’ quad-core processor with a fifth battery saver core, an eight-megapixel camera and 32GB of on board storage.

The One S isn’t too far behind, though, featuring a 4.3-inch AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, an eight-megapixel snapper and 16GB internal storage.

Both handsets run Android Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box with HTC’s latest Sense 4.0 UI overlay.

The price reductions come just days before the highly anticipated launch of the Samsung Galaxy S3, which, according to Vodafone, is already the network’s most pre-ordered Android smartphone ever.
