Sad news, Pandas: it appears the wireless charging thingamajig for Samsung’s recently unveiled Galaxy S3 will not land until several months after the handset’s launch.
Or at least according to a source at online vendor Mobile Fun, who claims the device will be delayed until September, nearly four months from the S3’s official street date.
The news will doubtless dampen enthusiasm for the handset, which was announced just last week to much fanfare and is due to hit store shelves starting May 29th.
The wireless charger, in case you’re wondering, works much like a standard dock, except you simply place the handset on the pad instead of connecting anything to it.
Although a novel idea, it’s certainly not original - as anyone will testify who recalls the ill-fated Palm Touchstone, which did pretty much the same thing two years ago.
Samsung has yet to officially comment on the rumour. But as soon as we find out more, you will too.
