After a frustratingly long wait, owners of the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and the neo can finally get a taste Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS).
An update to the latest, tastiest iteration of Android – version 4.0.4 – is currently being rolled out in batches to the original Arc and the neo V, breathing fresh life into the ageing remnants of the former Sony Ericsson joint venture.
The exact models supported for the upgrade can be found here for the Arc, and here for the neo V.
Features ICS brings to the platform include updated versions of native apps, a new multitasking interface, Face Unlock, which uses the front-facing camera to verify the handset’s owner, and numerous UI and performance optimisations.
