HTC is possibly already working on a follow-up to the One X, a GLBenchmark page for an as-yet unseen handset reveals.
The only highlight of the mystery phone is a 1.7GHz quad-core Tegra 3 processor, which is 200MHz faster than the One X. However, it also packs a lower 1196 x 720 resolution (display size unspecified), which oddly enough puts it less than a 100 pixels short of 720p.
Intriguingly, it is codenamed ‘evitareul’, which we’re guessing stands for Evitare UL, since Evitare was the codename for another One X variant, the XL.
Unfortunately not much else known is about the device, other than it runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich (version 4.0.4). Hopefully it won’t be much longer before we find out more, with the smart money on the handset tipping up at the IFA expo on August 31st
