The Sony Xperia Go will go on sale in the UK on O2 later this month, a ‘coming soon’ handset page on the carrier’s site has confirmed.
The tough phone is expected to be priced in the mid-to-low range. That ought to equate to a monthly outlay of around £25 per month if you’re looking to pick up the Go for free.
Unveiled earlier this year, the Go’s USP is that teams the slim dimensions and Bravia Reality display that are hallmarks of the Xperia line with the robust, weather and dust-resistant qualities of a tough phone.
That equates to a 9.8mm-thick handset with a 3.5-inch scratch-resistant screen that features finger-tracking technology to ensure it records finger inputs even in the rain.
Elsewhere, the Android 2.3-powered Go features a five-megapixel camera, 8GB of onboard storage and scope to boost this by a further 8GB by adding a microSD card.
