Tiny Wings 2 is now available on the App Store, bringing a deluge of improvements to the massively popular original installment.
Not to be confused with a full-fledged sequel, Tiny Wings 2 is in fact an update released as a ‘thank you’ to fans by its one-man development team, Andreas Illiger, who’s unfortunately far too busy to work on a new game just yet.
Chief among the additions on version two-point-oh are 15 new ‘hand-designed’ levels, a new mode called ‘Flight School’ that lets you race against three AI-controlled birds and finally, Retina graphics!
The long-awaited iPad version, Tiny Wings HD, has also been released, which comes with a split-screen mode to enable two players to play on a single iPad, and HD graphics, obviously.
Also new is iCloud syncing, allowing you to continue your progress on multiple iDevices, Night Flights and support for additional European languages: German, French, Spanish, Italian and Dutch.
The update is free to download right now if you already own Tiny Wings. If not, what are waiting for? It’s only 69p for the iPhone and £1.99 for the iPad.
