Repair outfit Smartphone Medic has posted a video comparing several leaked parts supposedly intended for the next-generation iPhone.
Among these are the front glass panels that we’ve already seen before, except this time we get to see them side-by-side the iPhone 4S and the Samsung Galaxy S3. As you can see, the iPhone 5’s screen is noticeably taller than the 4S, adding credence to rumours that it’ll pack a four-inch display. However, compared to the S3 it’s still quite a bit shorter and narrower.
The front-facing camera now right above the earpiece, while the proximity sensor has moved to the side. We also get a look at the phone’s flex cables, which join up various internal components.
Not surprisingly, some of these bits have been shuffled around to accommodate the size change. For example, the headphone jack is now located at the bottom of the device and the service antenna is connected onto the cable itself.
It’s all pretty fascinating. So have a gander and let us know what you think in the comments section below.
