Unseen photos of the iPad Mini's shell have leaked online, as the device once rubbished by Steve Jobs as a non-starter edges ever to closer to reality.
Sourced by Chinese website digi.163, the snaps of the rear casing apparently confirm much of what we thought we know about the slate. Or at least, as much as we've gleaned from the rumour mill.
Very much present and correct is the smaller nine-pin dock connector, which leaks suggest is being adopted in place of the 30-pin port in the interest of saving space.
Elsewhere, there’s a rear-facing camera, a repositioned top-mounted headphone jack and a design that, although smaller, isn’t much changed from its predecessors.
Expected to be unveiled during October, the iPad Mini’s spec sheet is likely to take in a dual-core processor, recycled from previous iKit and a 7.85-inch screen of the non-retina denomination.
