Motorola’s latest flagship Android smartphone, the RAZR HD, is due to launch in Europe later this month, reports suggest.
According to Unwired View, the RAZR HD, also known as the Droid RAZR HD in the US, will go on sale shortly on France’s Orange and SFR networks and exclusively on O2 Germany for €549 (approx. £440).
It’s as yet unclear whether any UK carriers will be ranging the handset. But the specs the RAZR HD packs and its dapper looks, we don’t see why it shouldn’t make it over here.
Among the highlights is a 4.7-inch HD 720p Super AMOLED display, a dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor with 1GB of RAM, an eight-megapixel camera (plus front-facing 1.3MP) and a Kevlar back cover to protect against scratches.
Elsewhere, there is 1GB of RAM, 16GB of on board storage (expandable via microSD card slot), an HDMI out, DLNA support for streaming content wireless to a compatible TV and a rather huge 2,530 mAh battery that we reckon should more than last through the day.
We’ll be getting in touch with UK networks to enquire about their plans for offering the RAZR HD in our fair isles and share what we learn. So hang tight.
