The much-awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is now available to pre-order on Phones 4U, the retailer’s website confirms.
The sequel to the S-giant’s blockbuster ‘phablet’ will be ranged on contracts on O2, Orange and Vodafone starting at £41 a month over a two-year term for those looking to snag one for free.
On O2 this entitles takers to unlimited calls, texts and 1GB of data and Wi-Fi. Orange offers a still respectable 900 minutes and 3000 texts, plus 1GB of data. However, it also comes with two Orange Swappables, which are special perks that you can swap each month for whatever tickles your fancy.
Pick it up on Vodafone for £42 a month, meanwhile, and you’ll get you unlimited calls and texts, as well as 2GB of data and 2GB Wi-Fi allowances, making it pretty sweet deal if you don’t mind paying a quid more.
Among the highlights on board the Note 2 are a slightly larger 5.5-inch Super AMOLED HD (720p) screen, a 1.6GHz quad-core processor (up from 1.4GHz dual core on its predecessor) and redesigned S-pen stylus that comes with a neat software feature called Air View that lets you preview content by just hovering the pen over the screen.
Orders placed now are expected to be delivered on October 2nd. Three has already confirmed it will also be offering the Galaxy Note 2 at launch. Although pricing details are yet to be revealed, we expect these to be broadly in line with the competition.
