Samsung Galaxy S3 Swarovski crystal edition unveiled for wallet-busting price

You know you’ve made it to then big leagues when your flagship phone gets ornamented in an obscene amount of precious stones, like Samsung’s Galaxy S3, which now has a special Swarovski Crystals edition.

Amosu Couture, a company that specialises in luxurious mobile phones, has announced a super-snazzy version of the S3 with 500 Swarovski Crystals lining the bezel, plus 16 Swarovski ‘Crystalised Elements’ on the home button.

In return you’ll have to shell out just £2099, a small price to pay surely for the almost guaranteed boost it’ll give your street cred? Or if you already have the handset, you can have it pimped out for a more reasonable £1599. If you still don’t bite, Amosu Couture is throwing in a free calf leather case (worth £200 apparently) in a colour of your choice. The handset itself is available in the standard marble white and pebble blue colourways.

Everything else remains exactly the same as the regular Galaxy S3, including its 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD screen, 1.4GHz quad-core processor and an eight-megapixel ‘zero shutter lag’ camera.

You also get some smart Samsung features such as S-Voice, a Siri-style voice-guided assistant, and SmartStay, which actively tracks your eyes to keep the screen on during movies or whathaveyou.

Alas, contract options aren’t available unless you pick the standard edition first, which might actually be a much more cost-effective way to get your bling on.
