Arguably the best images so far of the iPad Mini have leaked online, as anticipation builds around Apple’s debut budget slate.
Sourced by 9to5Mac associate Sonny Dickson, the snaps provide the clearest and most comprehensive look yet at the Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire challenger. And rather handsome it looks too, we think.
Alas, there are no specs to go on, but the device in the question looks to feature a display in the region of eight inches, tallying with months of rumours that it will pack a 7.85-inch screen.
The photos also corroborate reports that the iPad Mini will feature the same space-saving Lightning dock connector as the iPhone 5.
Interestingly, in news to cheer fans of hugely unwieldy camera equipment, the slate appears to have a rear-facing camera too. That jars with speculation that Apple would ditch the feature, along with 3G support, to keep costs down.
The iPad Mini is expected to go on sale during November to capitalise on the seasonal rush, with a US price point of between $249-$299.
