The Samsung Galaxy S3 is up for pre-order now at Phones4U, ahead of its retail debut on November 2nd.
Samsung’s slimmed-down edition of its 2012 flagship phone is available on a range of contracts starting at £25 over 24 months. That deal with Vodafone gets you a free phone, plus 250MB of data and 300 minutes per month as well as unlimited texts.
The first 350 customers to order the handset from the retailer, irrespective of carrier, also get a free Samsung S Pebble MP3 player, which as its name suggests, features the same inspired-by-nature looks as the two S3 phones.
Debuting last week after weeks of speculation, the S3 Mini ditches the 4.8-inch Super AMOLED screen of its older brother for an altogether more bijou four-inch display and features a five megapixel camera instead of the standard S3’s eight megapixel snapper.
The handset also swaps the S3’s quad-core processor for a dual core model and runs the newer 4.1 version of Android (AKA Jelly Bean) out of the box rather than the earlier Ice Cream Sandwich iteration.
Very much present and correct in the new phone, though, are the S3’s curves, as well as Samsung’s celebrated Android software tweaks, such as the S-Voice voice commands app and a smart sleep mode.
