The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini will officially land in the UK in just over a week, offering a new handset option to Android fanciers put up off by the supersized dimensions of the current crop of superphones.
Samsung’s micro-sized take on its current flagship handset, which is already available to pre-order, will come with some free content, including The Sims 3 and Bejewelled 2, which we’re guessing you’ll be able to grab from the Samsung Hub.
Simon Stanford, vice president of telecommunications & networks at Samsung, said: "Following the massive success and popularity of the Galaxy S3 and all its features, we are confident customers will enjoy the Galaxy S3 Mini when it hits the shelves on the 8th November."
The handset principally differs from the standard S3 by swapping a quad-core processor for a more modest dual-core chip and ditching its big brother’s 4.8-inch screen for a four-inch Super AMOLED display.
The SE Mini also features a five-megapixel camera with LED flash and panorama mode and runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) out of the box, complete with Samsung’s exclusive UI tweaks such as the S-Voice voice commands app and the SmartScreen intelligent sleep mode.
