Owners of the Windows Phone 8 handsets are experiencing unbidden system reboots and battery-life problems, a slew of user testimonies suggest.
Posts from Windows Phone 8 fanciers on the WPCentral forum and on Microsoft’s official support pages reveal numerous complaints from HTC Windows Phone 8X owners that their handset is rebooting seemingly at random.
Among the 156 posts was mberdych’s, who relates how “within 3 days of use I had 2 random reboots”, while ajorourke and martinmc78 both claim their kits have restarted seven times.
And the issue isn’t confined to HTC’s WP8 flagship, according to The Verge. Nokia Lumia 920 owners are also reporting that their handset is turning off and on and freezing sans reason. Battery life is also disappointing, it seems.
HTC and Nokia have yet to respond to the problems being experienced by their customers, but we’ve approached both to comment.
In the meantime, if you’re among those affected tell us about your travails in the comments section below and we'll see if we can get said gadget-makers to address your concerns.
