Samsung’s Galaxy S4 could be unveiled as early as March, sources privy to top-level matters at Seoul claim.
According to Asia Economic News, the South Korean tech titan will officially lift the lid on the eagerly anticipated smartphone on March 22nd, at a press event it’s expected to host right “at Apple’s doorstep”, which we can presume will be somewhere in California, where the iMaker is based.
The report appears to corroborate a separate tip received by Sam Mobile that Sammy’s Next Big Thing will be announced sometime in March and begin shipping from week 16, as in April 15th.
However, the anonymous source also claims that the handset we’ve been calling the Galaxy S4 all this time could be named the ‘Galaxy Altius’ instead. This is apparently because ‘4’ is considered bad juju in Korea.
The fourth-generation kit is expected to boast an impressive spec sheet takes in an 4.99-inch Super AMOLED screen with a full HD resolution, an octa-core (yes, that’s eight!) processor, a 13-megapixel camera and last but surely not least, built-in wireless charging capabilities.
Stay tuned for more Galaxy S4 news and rumours in the weeks to come.
