The SIM free edition of the Sony Xperia Z has been priced for the UK, giving us a strong indication of what we’ll be asked to pay when the phone lands on monthly contracts in March.
SIM free specialist Clove is offering the Xperia Z on pre-order for £440. That ought to equate to a price of between £30-£35 per month on free-phone deals when it arrives on O2, Vodafone and Three – all of whom have confirmed plans to range the handset.
Unveiled at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to what must be the best reception for a Sony smartphone for years, the Xperia Z’s feature set takes in a 13-megapixel camera with an Exmor RS sensor, Near Field Communications support and 4G LTE connectivity.
A five-inch full HD Reality display is also on board, complete with the tech giant’s Mobile Bravia Engine 2 technology, alongside a 1.5GHz quad-core processor and Android Jelly Bean out of the box.
