HTC will at long last launch its latest flagship smartphone, the M7, next month, a tipster abreast of the phone-maker’s plans has revealed.
According to the shadowy informant, the M7 will go on sale on March 8th – just two and a half weeks after a press event in London later this month - and will most likely be available in the UK and Europe before it lands on shop shelves stateside.
The source also claimed the M7 will drop in two colourways at launch: black and silver/white, adding that because the handset’s design doesn’t lend itself to a “two-toned colour scheme”, the silver/white variant is likely to combine a silver casing on the back and sides with a white glass bezel on the front.
Among some of the cutting-edge specs the M7 is expected to bring is a 4.7-inch 1080p HD SLCD3 display, a 1.7GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and a 13-megapixel primary shooter with an f/2.0 aperture.
Also mooted to be on board is 4G LTE connectivity, 32GB of internal storage, a two-megapixel webcam and the latest Android Jelly Bean out of the box with HTC’s all-new Sense 5 UI on top.
The HTC M7 is due to be officially unveiled on February 19th at a press conference in London’s German Gymnasium. Stay tuned for our full coverage of developments.
