O2 customers can enjoy the pick of EA’s games catalogue for free for one month, as part of the carrier’s bid to push its Active service.
Under the terms of the promotion, customers who sign up to O2’s Active subscription service can download and play as many EA games as they like for the first 30 days, after which a £2 per month charge applies.
Games available depend largely on the make and model of handset and, of course, the operating system it runs.
Among EA’s big hitters that most of you ought to be able to play are the likes of Tetris, Bejewelled 1 and 2, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit and Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
It’s worth noting that, perhaps surprisingly, the iPhone isn’t included in the offer, although key Samsung kits, such as Galaxy S2, S3 Mini and the soon-come Galaxy S4 are all supported, as are all HTC One handsets.
Oh and one last thing: if you decide to end your Active subscription after one month (O2 pledges to send a timely text reminder will be along to remind you that the free period is coming to an end), you will no longer be able to access the titles you’ve downloaded.
