Just as it promised it would, EE has revealed pricing for the Samsung Galaxy S4, as the handset officially goes on pre-order today.
The UK’s first and only 4G network is selling Samsung’s latest flagship smartphone on a range of contracts starting from £31 per month. Perhaps the pick of the carrier's plans, however, is priced £41 a month on a two-year contract, with an upfront cost of £79.99 for the handset.
Subscribers to EE’s tariff will receive unlimited minutes and texts, plus 1GB of data for browsing and downloading at up to five times the speed of 3G.
As an extra incentive for signing up with the network, EE is also offering pre-order customers accessories worth £54.99, including an official Samsung Galaxy S4 cover, a 16GB microSD card and an in-car charger.
Powered by Android Jelly Bean, the Galaxy S4 is crammed with bleeding-edge hardware, including a five-inch full HD Super AMOLED display with a 441 pixels per inch density, a blazing quick processor and a 13-megapixel camera.
It’s also home to an array of superb software features, such as Smart Pause that pauses the video when you’re not looking at the screen and Air Wave, which lets you scroll through content by simply waving your hand over the screen – ideal if you have wet hands or gloves on.
Paul Jevons, director of products and devices at EE, said: “The Galaxy S4 is an innovative and feature rich handset, but most importantly, it is a device built with 4G in mind.
"4G helps to enhance the Galaxy S4’s unique features, ensuring it offers customers an incredible combination of speed and design that will only enhance everyday life on the move."
In addition to EE, Orange and T-Mobile have also officially started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S4. Pricing for their tariffs can be found here.
Stay tuned as we bring you more pre-order announcements from other networks and retailers as they happen.
