A teaser photo of the Samsung Galaxy S4 has appeared online, as all eyes turn to New York’s Radio City Music Hall for the handset’s official unveiling on Thursday.
Posted on Samsung USA’s official Twitter account, the detail of the upper half of the handset appears to indicate that the Galaxy S4 will retain the “nature-inspired” curved edges of its predecessor.
Closer inspection, although we’ll concede that this could be a trick of the light, also reveals that the S4 in the photo has something of a blue tint. That suggests that the ‘pebble blue’ colourway that helped the S3 stand out on shop shelves will also be present and correct.
This flies in the face of speculation – admittedly seemingly based on little more than Samsung posters for this week’s press call – that the flagship phone would launch in more traditional black and white colour options.
Previous reports suggest that the fourth handset in Samsung’s Galaxy S range will also be home to a larger 4.99-inch Super AMOLED screen with a full HD resolution, a 13-megapixel camera and possibly even an octa-core processor.
It’s also expected to debut eye motion-sensitive controls to allow users to pause video and scroll through pages using eye movements alone.
