The Samsung Galaxy S4, arguably the year’s most-wanted smartphone, officially hits retail this week, amid speculation that the handset is on course for ten million sales in the first month alone.
Samsung’s 2013 flagship goes on sale on Saturday (April 27th) across pretty much the full range of major UK carriers and retailers, as the company looks to ramp up its challenge to Apple’s iPhone.
Billed as a 'life companion', the fourth-gen Galaxy S’s unique selling points are Samsung’s Nature UX tweaks to Android that enable owners to interact with their handset in new and – it says ‘ere – more intuitive ways.
Perhaps the pick of these is Smart Scroll, which means users can scroll through screens by tilting their phone. Smart Pause meanwhile automatically pauses a video when you look away, while S Health monitors your wellbeing.
Spec-sheet highlights of the Galaxy S4 take in a five-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, a 1.9GHz quad-core processor and a 13-megapixel camera.
