Samsung Galaxy Note 3 incoming September at IFA, says Korean analyst

A fresh addition to Samsung’s Galaxy Note range remains months away, reports suggest, despite claims in some quarters that the third Note could debut at a press event tomorrow.

According to an unnamed Korea Investment & Securities analyst cited by Korean site FNNews, Samsung will wait until September’s IFA tech expo to showcase the Galaxy Note 3.

This would be exactly 12 months since the last edition of the gadget-maker’s phablet landed, with this year’s IFA taking place between September 6th and 1th in Berlin.

Images purportedly showing a prototype of the Note 3 surfaced online earlier this week, revealing what appears to be a monster of a phablet, with a screen verging on six inches and that’s surely at the very edge of the smartphone-tablet cut-off point.

The Note 3 is also expected to house a high-end 13-megapixel camera and feature a suite of new Nature UX user interface additions optimised for its stylus.

Contrary to predictions that the device will feature a premium, metal build that have been abroad elsewhere, it’s also thought likely to retain the plastic construction of Samsung’s Galaxy S range and earlier Note models.
