An app that mimicked Apple’s Control Center app for iOS 7 has been pulled from Google’s Play store because it infringed on Apple’s copyright, it has emerged.

The Big G sent developer Hi Tools Studio a simple message about the wannabe add-on, stating: “Apple owns the copyright in its iOS software and each of the features thereof.

“The aforementioned application infringes Apple Inc.’s ('Apple') copyright rights in the iOS 7 software.”

Control Center is one of iOS 7’s major new features, finally allowing iPhone and iPad users to control features such as Wi-Fi, AirPlay and Bluetooth from a single display that can be accessed with a single swipe.

Fortunately for Android users, Hi Tools has since unleashed a tweaked edition of its app, which is back in the Play Store now.

However, how long its Control Center-alike effort will be available with Apple’s legal team sniffing around remains to be seen.
