Sony’s much-papped Xperia Honami device has surfaced once again. But this time it’s a white version of the forthcoming phone that’s the subject of a series of spy shots, confirming spec details in the process.
The sizeable phablet is compared in the snaps to the iPhone 5, towering above it and showing just how small Apple’s handset looks these days.
The pics show that the phone will definitely pack a 20.7 megapixel camera, suggesting Sony is looking to wrest the camera phone initiative back from Samsung and Nokia.
The latter pair have taken the lead in smartphone optics with the Galaxy S4 Zoom and Lumia 1020 respectively.
Sony also appears to have crammed in a tweaked version of the latest Google Android software as well, meaning there’ll be few surprises on the software front when the Honami does launch.
The handset is widely expected to land at IFA in Berlin early next month.
That’ll put it right up against Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 3 and HTC’s One Max, both of which are due to take a bow in the German capital.
