O2 has cut the cost of select iPhone 5 contracts, as part of a time-limited promo.
For the duration of the offer, the carrier is selling the iPhone 5 16GB with a monthly allowance of 2GB of data for £37 per month on its Refresh plan.
Previously, the contract, which also features unlimited texts and minutes, featured a download limit of 1GB per month.
Were you to sign up to a 2GB-per-month iPhone plan with O2 normally, it’d set you back an extra fiver per month. Or £120 over the course of the contract.
O2 has also trimmed the asking price of the handset when customers ink a 24-month Refresh contract at £32 per month. You’ll now have to pay £19.99 upfront to cover the cost of the handset, compared with £49.99 before.
Allowances? They’re 600 minutes and 750MB of data per month. And you get unlimited texts too.
O2’s price drops come as the iPhone 5s and the polycarbonate shell-toting iPhone 5c. The latter is replacing the iPhone 5 as Apple’s mid-range option.
