Orange and partner network T-Mobile are now taking pre-orders for the iPhone 5c, ahead of the handset’s official street date on September 20th.
Neither network is offering the phone on a 4G plan. If you want that you’ll need to sign up for the 5c on EE, which also went live with iPhone 5c pre-orders today.
However, if you don't mind running a 4G phone on a 3G network or live in an area not covered by 4G, Orange and T-Mobile might just fit the bill.
Orange’s most appealing plan is £37 per month (plus £29.99 upfront to cover the cost of the handset) and entitles you to 1GB of mobile internet per month, plus unlimited texts and calls.
T-Mobile’s best offering, as we see it anyway, is £42 per month, also with a £29.99 per month upfront fee. But that extra outlay gets you unlimited data, as well as unlimited texts and calls.
Today also saw pre-orders start on Vodafone, which is offering a range of 4G-ready plans. Three is set to announce pricing and pre-orders imminently.
