Not ordered your iPhone 5s from Apple yet? Then you could be in for a lengthy wait, with the Cupertino company slapping the device with a disconcertingly vague ‘October’ shipping date.
While that could mean you’ll be playing nice with your new, Touch ID-packing phone by the end of next week, it could also mean a month-long wait for those who want to snag the handset without a SIM.
Demand for the iPhone 5s appears to have been sky high, although Apple is yet to confirm how many handsets it shifted during opening weekend. Despite a lukewarm receptoin in some quarters, the figure is expected to be impressive.
This news comes as a new report suggests the Touch ID sensor can be bypassed by obtaining an original user’s fingerprint from everyday objects and making a copy of it using a printer and wood glue.
