Samsung Galaxy Note 3 priced on O2, now on pre-order

O2 has unveiled pricing for the Galaxy Note 3 and is now taking pre-orders, ahead of the smartie's street date of September 26th.

The carrier is offering the phablet on 3G and 4G-ready contracts on the Refresh plan, which is designed to be more flexible and make it easier and less costly to upgrade to a new handset mid-contract.

Choose 4G (and if you do, you should be mindful that O2’s service is initially only available in London, Leeds and Bradford) and you can get the Note 3 for free when you sign up to a £47-per-month, two-year contract.

That gets you unlimited texts and minutes, plus 1GB of mobile data allowance per month.

Opt to pay a bit more, though, and you could snare yourself whopping data limits of 8GB or 5GB for the duration of your contract. This is part of a time-limited promo that’s set to end on October 31st.

Go with a 3G plan and the cheapest monthly cost is £39 per month, plus a one-off charge of £29.99. Unlimited texts and minutes also come as standard here, but there’s a less weighty mobile-internet monthly usage limit of 750Mb.

The third in Samsung’s range of smartphone-tablet hybrids' feature set takes in a 5.7-inch, eyeball-stroking AMOLED HD display, a trademark S-Pen stylus and 2.3Ghz quad-core processor.

The handset also packs 4G LTE connectivity and a longer-life 3,200mAh battery.
