The BT Sport application for iOS devices has been revamped, adding some new features and improving full screen viewing on iPhones and iPads.
The app, the principal function of which is to allow BT Sport customers to watch the channel’s coverage on the move, now enables users to switch to full screen by rotating their handset. Previously users had to manually switch to full-screen mode.
BT has also removed carrier information and the battery icon from the app from the full-screen mode, freeing up more screen space for the action.
Elsewhere, we’re promised improvements to the live scores feature, which now handles fixtures that go to extra time and sudden death.
And rounding things off are a suite of fixes. These take care of unspecified minor UX and display glitches and do away with “jerky screen animations and transitions caused by iOS 7”.
The BT Sport app, which now seems free of the bugs that meant the service wouldn’t run over 3G at launch and wouldn't accept log-in details, runs on Apple kits running iOS 5.1.1 or above.
