Smartphones’ disappointing battery life has long been the industry’s shameful little secret, with mobile internet services and multi-tasking sure to rinse your expensive handset’s cell quicker than you can say ‘trades description act’.
Samsung has attempt to address that by including a Power Saving Mode on the Galaxy S5, which turns the screen into a black and white mode and shuts off all background apps to help you eke out the last drops of your juice.
On paper, it’s a life-saver. Especially if you absolutely, positively have to take an important call and have been caught short with your battery.
