The Sony Xperia Z2 is now up for pre-order on Vodafone with the sweetener of a free Bravia TV. But only if you’re quick and ensure you’re among the earliest of early birds to place an order.
Under the terms of the offer, the first 3,000 customers to sign up for Sony’s much-garlanded 2014 flagship smartphone on contracts starting from £47 per month qualify for the TV for no extra charge.
As well as a free phone, that gets you 3GB of super-fast 4G data usage per month, along with unlimited calls and texts. Vodafone is also throwing in six months free use of Sky Sports or Spotify.
Available in black or white and bullishly billed as the “best ever smartphone from Sony”, the Xperia Z2’s spec sheet includes a 20.7-megapixel camera with 4K video that’s capable of capturing footage that's four times higher-resolution than HD.
You can see it action on our exclusive camera-focused video hands on from Mobile World Congress.
As you might expect with a new phone, the Xperia Z2 runs the latest Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and features a 5.2” Full HD triluminous display, alongside a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor. All of which is squeezed into a frame that’s 0.3mm thinner than the Xperia Z1.
The handset also offers 16GB of onboard storage, with scope to boost this by up to 64GB by adding a microSD card.
