Samsung reveals Galaxy Tab 4 lineup

Samsung has revealed three new tablets as part of its updated Galaxy Tab 4 range. The trio of slates are aimed at budget users and come in seven, eight and 10.1–inch varieties.

Each edition packs a moderate 1.2Ghz quad–core processor, alongside a three-megapixel rear–facing camera and a 1.3-megapixel front–facing effort.

Google Android 4.4 KitKat comes as standard, with Google’s full suite of Mobile Services all included.

Additionally, users will also get access to Samsung’s own native apps. These include ChatON, voice calling capabilities and Group Play.

The displays on each model won’t be winning any awards, though.

All three manage just 1280x800 resolution, meaning they’re well off the pace of top–end rivals such as Apple’s iPad mini with Retina Display.

However, the inclusion of 4G should sweeten the deal somewhat.

Black and white versions are due to hit shelves later this month, with Samsung yet to confirm pricing.
