The Sony Xperia Z2 will be available from Carphone Warehouse next week – a full two weeks ahead of its official due date. But only if you’re quick off the mark.
The retailer has confirmed that it will have “limited stock” of Sony’s well regarded 2014 flagship. The stock is earmarked for online customers and those who pre-order the handset ahead of its May 1st street date.
Carphone has also pledged that would-be Xperia Z2 owners who have already ordered it will get the phone from April 14th, when the retail giant plans to start despatching them to early birds. That’s in line with Vodafone’s promise to customers from last week.
The announcements come after Sony delayed the arrival of the handset, which tech watchers afforded the best response to one of its phones in recent memory, on shop shelves. This was apparently down to production glitches.
Pre-order the handset from Carphone and you’re looking at minimum outlay of £42 per month, with £100 cashback on pay monthly contracts. You’ll also get £80 of free content, including the movies Captain Phillips, Elysium and Django Unchained.
