Apple’s forthcoming iWatch will have a round face, rather than the rectangular one so many tech-watchers have been expecting.
At least, that’s according to analyst Brian Blair, who claims to have unearthed the inside line from supply-chain sources while recently in Taiwan.
The move means Apple’s design will look similar to Motorola’s recently revealed 360 smartwatch, which uses Google’s new Android Wear operating system. Word is Apple’s effort will be slimmer than Moto’s, though.
Blair also claims that production will ramp up in earnest in July and August, ahead of a planned launch in autumn.
That flies in the face of some rumours, which claim that Apple is prepping the iWatch for at least a sneak peek at next week’s Worldwide Developer Conference in San Francisco.
