Vodafone launches Affordable Campaign, adds free Netflix to 4G contracts

Vodafone has cut the price of the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini and Motorola Moto G, as part of its just-launched Affordable Smartphone Campaign.

The Galaxy S3 Mini’s asking price has been trimmed by £30 to £120 on pay as you go. It’s also now cheaper on a contract and can be had for £13 per month over 24 months, down from £17 per month.

Motorola’s Moto G, the Sony Xperia E1 and HTC Desire 310, meanwhile, have all taken a haircut from £13 per month to £11 per month, also on two-year contracts.

And completing the line-up of discounted smarties are the Vodafone Smart 4 mini and Nokia Lumia, which are now going for £45 and £65 respectively.

Voda’s sales drive comes after it this week announced it’s bundling six months free use of the Netflix TV and movie streaming service with its 4G Red contracts. It’d normally set you back £5.99 per month.

The sweetener, which is on top of three months double data for three months and goes live in July, means you’ll be able to watch the likes of Breaking Bad and Orange is the New Black on your smartphone or tablet.

Bill Holmes, head of business development at Netflix, said: “Netflix is all about giving people the freedom to watch what they want to watch, when they’d like to watch it, on whatever device.

“This partnership with Vodafone further enhances that freedom to watch while on the go.”
