Google has added a new function to its ace Google Now tool designed to stop you from falling asleep and missing your bus, train or Tube stop.
Sneaked out as part of the latest update to the Android edition of the service, the freshly added feature lets you set an alarm when you’re on public transport and nearing home, work or another key location it’s detected.
To make it work, you just need to fire up Google Now once you hop aboard, tap on the alarm icon and it’ll buzz as you approach your stop. Of course, this requires you to remember to pull your phone from your pocket, not always easy after a few jars.
The alarm tool is available on Google Now for Android right now. Perfect for anyone coming home in the wee hours after those late night World Cup kick-offs.
