LG’s warmly received G3 in is now on sale in the UK on O2, as the South Korean phone-maker bids to win back territory it has lost to Samsung and other rival Android heavy hitters.
The handset is free on O2’s Refresh tariff when you sign up to a two-year contract at £38 per month. That gets you unlimited minutes and texts, plus 2GB of data per month.
If you don’t mind paying £28 upfront, it’s on offer at £28 per month over two years. But here you’re looking at allowances of 500 minutes and 500MB per month and unlimited texts.
The Refresh tariff’s biggest sell, though, is that you’re able to upgrade to a newer phone at any time if another slab of smartphone goodness tickles your fancy. We explain how it works here.
LG’s Android 4.4.2 KitKat-powered big hitter features a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with pixel density of 538ppi, as well as back-mounted volume and camera buttons it's claimed make the G3 easier to use with one hand.
The G3 is also home to a 13-megapixel camera with Laser Auto Focus to help you zero in on your subject, a secondary 2.1-megapixel front ‘selfie’ camera and gesture control activation.
