Samsung Galaxy Note 4: Two versions planned

Samsung is working on two versions of its forthcoming Galaxy Note 4 phablet. One with a standard flat screen and another using a curved display, as seen on last year’s pioneering Galaxy Round.

Plans for the phones have been revealed in a new report from The Korea Times. According a source at one of Samsung’s suppliers, the regular phone will get a global release, with the curved version unleashed in select markets only.

Last year’s Galaxy Round was only made available in Samsung’s home territory of South Korea, so any variant on the Galaxy Note 4 is likely to land on home shores first before rolling out internationally.

Current rumours suggest that Samsung is going to go all out with its Note 4. The handset is said to have a 1440 x 2560, 5.7–inch display, with a 16-megapixel camera and Snapdragon 805 processor.

The phone is likely to take a bow alongside the Galaxy F, Samsung’s replacement for its current Galaxy S5 flagship.
