A series of newly leaked images appear to show key internal parts of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6. The shots, taken by the Mac fanatics at Apple.club.tw, show a volume and mute button cable, alongside a separate power button part.
On previous iPhones, these two modules have been kept together, owing to the handset's smaller dimensions.
However, this time around Apple looks as if it is splitting them in order to shift the power button to the right hand side of the device.
These separate parts play into previous rumours that have suggested the Cupertino company is going to release two larger iPhones.
It's thought that locating the power button on the top of such a phone will prove too much of a stretch for normal-sized hands, hence the shift in design.
The volume keys look larger than the current, rounded efforts, again fitting in nicely with leaked mock–ups which show larger rockers for controlling how loud your phone is when taking calls and listening to tunes.
The iPhone 6, in 4.7–inch and 5.5–inch variants, is due to be released in the autumn.
