Apple’s seemingly endless quest to hire the great and the good of the business world to work on the iWatch continues today, with the news that it has poached TAG Heuer’s VP of Global Sales and Retail.
Patrick Pruniax has left the luxury watchmaker with a direct view to helping with the launch of Apple's much-rumoured foray into wearable tech.
That’s the word from TAG’s parent company LVMH, whose head of jewellery spoke about his departure with CNBC in the United States.
While Pruniax’s role at Apple hasn’t been officially announced, his arrival is just the latest in a long line of moves designed to help Tim Cook and co blast its rivals out of the water.
It has already snapped up a number of Nike staff, including Ben Shaffer, the design director behind its bestselling Fuelband, and fitness consultant Jay Blahnik.
The iWatch is expected to launch alongside the iPhone 6 in autumn, with a mid–September event rumoured in recent days.
