Photos of mocked-up iPhone 6 handsets and cases have surfaced online, in a further sign that we’re very definitely hit the ‘peak iPhone 6’ period.
The images, which come to us via case-maker Spigen but were brought to wider attention by GSM Arena, join the mounting trove of renders based on what we know – or think we know - about the handset so far.
Take a look and you’ll spot the redesigned volume buttons, repositioned on-off button and more curved design, all of which have been staples on the iPhone 6 rumour mill for months now.
That said there a few differences, although you have to look very hard to see them. Interestingly, while earlier leaks and renders have featured large, very visible stripes across the rear of the handset, Spigen has shrunk them.
The effect is much more subtle and far less likely to divide opinion among fanboys.
Whether that’ll be the look Apple plumps for in the end isn’t clear. But with evidence now pointing to a September 9th reveal for the iPhone 6, it seems we’ve not got long to wait to find out.
Expected to land in 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch size options, the next-gen handset is also expected to feature an improved camera, beefier processor and a better battery.
